Repacks are modified installers created by third-party individuals or groups. They take the base game files, apply a "crack" to bypass digital rights management (DRM), and compress the files significantly—sometimes reducing a 100GB game to 40GB or 50GB.
However, repacks rely entirely on the existence of a working crack. This is where Diablo IV breaks the mold.
