This paper examines the arrival and sustained popularity of the Disney Channel series Hannah Montana (Season 1) within the Vietnamese media landscape. Specifically, it analyzes the transition from traditional television broadcasting to the digital culture of "Vietsub" (Vietnamese subtitles) updating. By exploring the localization of the show’s themes, the fan-driven translation community, and the technical necessity of "updated" subtitles in the streaming era, this paper argues that Hannah Montana served as a significant cultural bridge for Vietnamese youth, with its longevity secured by active digital fan communities.
