Do not use v1.3 – it has a known bug that corrupts the ground bond calibration. This is documented in the fixed service manual's errata sheet.

The manual references a "Hitachi HD44780" LCD controller. The A2 actually uses a custom Sanyo LC7981 driver. The pinout is different. neutrik a2 service manual fixed

and often shares scanned schematics for related models like the TT402A. Excellent for hardware-level discussions Do not use v1

Like most gear from the 90s and early 2000s, electrolytic capacitors in the power section are the primary failure point. A "fixed" unit often involves replacing the primary filter caps to eliminate low-level hum in the noise floor measurements. The A2 actually uses a custom Sanyo LC7981 driver

Note: You will lose the original "backlight" control unless you add a transistor driver. The service manual fix ignores the missing current sink.

However, the unit is now long discontinued. Neutrik no longer services the A2. This means the community has stepped in to solve common problems.
