We argue that VRConk-style environments, Wright’s narrative-first adult cinema, and Lucy’s naive-but-resilient Vault Dweller archetype each represent a different mode of “post-apocalyptic performance” — one where bodies, whether digital, filmed, or character-bound, must negotiate trust, survival, and pleasure under artificial constraints. Drawing on theories of parasocial interaction (Horton & Wohl), post-cinematic affect (Shaviro), and game studies (Galloway), the paper proposes the term to describe how adult VR and narrative porn construct safe failures, repeated scenarios, and performative vulnerability — much like Lucy’s repeated encounters with danger in the Wasteland.
